Immigration costs can be a major concern for those looking to immigrate. Canada is still considered an affordable option when compared with other popular destinations such as Australia, the UK, and the USA.
The amount of money you need depends on your family size and what type of immigration program you will be applying for as well as any settlement funds needed, visa processing fees required documents filed with the government before entering the country like birth certificates or marriage certificates; then there's even bringing pets over!
We’ve created a table below with some settlement funds estimates:
(table)
As you can see, the general price tag for immigration varies depending on the applicant's family size and whether they are applying through a provincial or federal program. For example, if you're single with no children then it'll cost around $2,300 CAD. This amount does not include the settlement funds that many candidates must show to be eligible for Canadian immigration; this amount will vary by family size, starting at around $13,000 CAD for a single applicant. If a candidate is applying through a provincial program, additional fees may apply. Proof of settlement funds is not required for those with a Canadian job offer or who are applying under the Canadian Experience Class.
Generally speaking, an individual applicant needs $15K CAD while couples and families with children will require between 25-30 thousand dollars (CAD).
